It's hot and humid, traffic is atrocious but you can get great fresh seafood on practically any corner and they have a world-class ballet and opera company that performs in a theater that was built entirely from private donations. Not bad from the mosquito and alligator infested swamp it once was.
I've been in the Houston airport! It's HUGE!
